As the news media is starting to hyperventilate in joy about a march of perhaps 100,000 pro-amnesty activists(read illegal alien activists)on Sunday, March 21, all of us really need to spread this ad everywhere throughout the internet. We need to remind everybody that amnesty is about keeping 8 million jobs in the hands of illegal aliens and OUT of the hands of unemployed Americans.

It's all about jobs.

The people marching for "comprehensive immigration reform" are claiming that somehow by giving 8 million jobs permanently to illegal aliens that this will make our economy stronger and make things better for unemployed Americans.

HEY ALL, obviously we're back from TX,(though I'd rather still be there;'))and there's been some rumbling from some of the natives that I haven't put up pics yet... so without further adieu, here are some...
First we have a blossom from a huge plumeria tree that lived in the backyard where we stayed.

Here is a huge cactus we saw at a botanical garden in Corpus Christi.

This is our friendly gecko who lived with us, all be it, outside in a cushion of a patio chair.

OK, these guys are sooo cute its hard not to feed them(there aren't any laws that says otherwise)from the fish cleaning stations. They do pick 'fights' trying to catch fish remains thrown their way, The two in the top left are determined to have a the whole carcass!

Here is someone's mother with an adult beverage wandering around in the surf, while a good son keeps an eye out sharks.

We decided this guy is trying his luck at flying. Ok, catching air is better. He was quite good! Sometimes he sailed over 30-40 feet high and would hang for several hundred feet! It was a very windy day too, so that helped. It was quite awesome!

Here's a couple of beach bums...haha.

Finally we have a very happy gal with just a few of many fish she caught. These are called red drum. Each at least 21" or more in length. Hey its the LAW! Also caught at other times were lots of flounder, sheepshead, blackdrum, and spotted sea trout. All very good eats!!

Well that's all kids, if you would like to see more you'll have to come for a visit.

Annie the Andover Annihilator, gave Big Bro a great father's day present. She 'TKO'ed her opponent in the 2nd round after knocking her down. And the referee called for two 'standing' 8 counts, he stopped the bout and declared Annie the winner!! She has a perfect record of 4-0(though in my book it should be 6-0. I mean just because you showed up for 2 fights and your challenger decided not to, don't you win by default?). In July she's off to Florida for a tournament of sorts. GOOD LUCK ANNIE!!

Hey Kids!!!!! Boy have I got a treat for you all! For those of you that haven't yet met or seen the new resident dog at Camden ave. yet, here she is! And what a little lady fireball she is. (Butch seems to have passed along several of his idiosyncrasy's)
My Mother came over to try to catch her on camera chasing things, as Sugar's quite fast. So here she is!
Ohhh, BTW she weights about 48-50 lbs.

THIS IS HOW TO FISH IN MINNESOTA
I was going to build the Gazebo on the edge of my dock down by the lake
but I thought ..I might just as well build the deck with floats on it
and I can then take it out fishing too...... Has 15,000# capacity.
The deck is 18ft x 18ft with 12 plastic foam filled dock floats that are
4ft x 4ft by 18 inches high and the Gazebo is 10 ft. Hexagon with a
table and chairs.

Inside, under the table is my trolling motor so I can take it out to my
favorite fishing hole. The trolling motor is remote controlled wireless
so I can be fishing outside and operate the motor. On the top of the
table I have a LOWRANCE Fish-Finder with depth sounding sonars and temp
gauge. I have 2 electric winches with 40# anchors. I have also built in
a water pump so I can clean the fish right on the spot.
Now I can relax and fish while my wife can sit and relax.
IN MINNESOTA THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO FISH AND THEN THERE ARE FISHERMEN!!

Christmas day has come and gone, and the season or time made up of the twelve days between Christmas and epiphany is upon us. Someone sent me this, I found it interesting, and am blogging it for you all. HAPPY NEW YEAR too!!

There is one Christmas Carol that has always baffled me.

What in the world do leaping lords, French hens, swimming swans, and especially the partridge who won't come out of the pear tree have to do with Christmas? Today, I found out.

>From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember.

-The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.

-Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.

-Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.

-The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.

-The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.

-The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.

-Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit----Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.

-The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.

-Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit--Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.

-The ten lords a-leaping were the ten commandments.

-The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.

-The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed.

So there is your history for today. This knowledge was shared with me and I found it interesting and enlightening and now I know how that strange song became a Christmas Carol..

This has taken so long to get out because our Bill Gates machine fritzed on us and any computing we wanted to do we did in town at the computer center. Unfortunately we haven't been able to add any more pictures, such as the 4 ft barracuda Nancy caught deep sea fishing!!! but don't worry, once we get home in about 10 days we will be busy updating the blog with all kinds of things,like the huge derrick drilling structure that went by today. And for those of you interested we will tell you about all our mishaps, and there were a lot!! For now enjoy!!
.As many of you know we headed once again down to Texas for a month. We stayed at 3 different hotels on the way down, and just look at the great stuff you can accumulate, besides the stuff we either used or ate!!!

Just outside of Waco on I 35 we came to a complete standstill in traffic. We knew something really bad must have happened when we saw 2 tow truck for large rigs go by ambulances, cop cars, and the coroner wagon go by. There were 2 helicopters hovering overhead.All traffic was very slowly being diverted up a exit ramp across the freeway, down a service road, and finally back across the freeway & down the ramp.As we were passing the accident we saw a Target semi jackknifed up the side of a hill totally turned the wrong way on the freeway. There was a medi-vac helicopter parked on the road, just past the whole area.

As many of you may of heard,there is an internet gas out for the 15th of MAY..READ BELOW..
NO GAS...On May 15th 2007
Body: Don't pump gas on may 15th
Body: ...in April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.

If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take
$2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companys pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.

On the colonels e-mail the response followed...
Think about this logically (you're graduating from high school, you should see the flaw in this ), if internet users were to actually take almost $3 billion dollars from the oil industry they would have to do more than not fill up on a particular day. What they would actually have to is stop using their car, and ride their bike (for example), for enough trips as it would normally take to be worth $30 to $50 in gas.

Because this e-mail does not call for people to use alternative transportation, what will end up happening is that people will either fill up the day before or the day after (assuming, of course, they would have needed to fill up that Monday anyway). This has to be the case because it doesn't ask for people to stop driving, therefore they will continue to use the same amount of gas as before.

In conclusion, this will NOT work and is a poorly thought out scheme.

P.S. the facts in your e-mail are also poorly researched. There wasn't a "gas out" in April 1997, nor any "gas out" that affected gas prices. Please see: http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/nogas.asp

Education and logic not withstanding, the gas you may or may not buy the 15th has already been purchased by each and every station. Therefore the oil companies are not being hurt only the station owners. The gas out would only affect the oil companies if all vehicle owners went at least 15 - 30 days without buying any.

Hey ya'll, greetings from the wet&cold (today) coastal bend. Also known as southern Texas. Today is very unusual being cold & wet, but we had one of those northerners come through, so today's high is only around 60. We have been in the upper 80's most of the time so far. We had a good time last week with visiting family members. We got Mom R. & brother Mark out on the Bay boat to fish. We only caught one keeper which was a trigger fish(pictures below). Never caught one of them before but it was very good eats. Fishing is really off this year so far. Blame it on the warm water temp of 84, or the unusual high tides, 2-4 ft above normal, or the red tide,(algae which blooms) which Peter(me) refers to as the red death. Hopefully fishing will now change as we have had 2 cold fronts come through which kills the red tide and lowers the water temps.

Here is the triggerfish,...

Here is the jaw of the triggerfish...proof that everything in the ocean has teeth!! Once I saw the teeth I knew I had to have them to mount. Mom helped cut them off the fish after Nancy filleted it. Then we boiled it to clean it. It is so amazing to look at the teeth, they look so non fish-like. Even the Doc said so.

Here is a hermit crab we caught in our crab net while crabbing(not fishing) for blue crabs. We did let him go back into the ocean.
Hopefully fishing will improve and we'll have more pictures to share. Stay tuned...
So for now from the coastal bend..blessins' on yer head, and ya'll come back now ya hear!!!

Besides this being another Back Door for "Gun Control", how about a super highway... ENJOY

We're hearing more and more about the possibility of combining the US, Canada, and Mexico into a new entity similar to the European Union. A key part of this "North American Union" (aka "North American Community") would expand NAFTA to include a court system that would have supremacy over all US law (even the Supreme Court!) in "...any matter related to the trilateral political and economic integration" of the three countries. Details on this North American "superstate" are sketchy at best. We are only a few days away from the 5th anniversary of the 9/11 catastrophe. In the film there are many things and events that are looked into. Things that the 9/11 omission commission should have, wouldn't or didn't investigate. Am I suggesting a cover up or conspiracy, no I'm not, but there are too many things in question. In 2000 where was Osama welcomed and treated for medical problems? Where were hundreds of billions of dollars in gold bullion stored for countries and companies worldwide? TAX ON PATIENTS
There is a 1.5%(1) tax on health care services delivered in MN. This is a requirement of a 1992 law passed by the MN legislature.
The MinnesotaCare tax increases your health care costs and the cost of your insurance premiums.
You may not see the tax on your clinic bills or insurance statements---often as a result of contractual agreements betwee your health plan and your doctor or hospital. However:
+ the tax may be include as part of your bill.
+ the cost of the tax is passed onto you directly or indirectly
in higher care costs even though it may not be itemized on your bill.
+ Higher costs decrease patient access to care & individual &
family access to insurance.
Mn is the only state that taxes the full extent of health care services. Since 1993, over $900 million has been collected. Between 1993 & 1998, $622.2 million was collected, however, only $250.6 million was spent on health care services for MinnesotaCare patients. In fact, collections were nearly 2 1/2 times the cost of care.(2)

If anyone has heard the news, or especially if you haven't, you will know that the MN Republican party finished its convention Saturday night. I wasn't able to attend nor was I invited. So I leave everyone with points that were most likely left off the planks of the platform. You had Mark Kennedy going as close to joining the independent party by claiming he's the best bi-partisan in D.C. and can turn things around(personally, I'd like to ask him what he's been doing during the time he's ALREADY been there). Our current Governor Tim Pawlenty, touting not increasing taxes(though he won a MN supreme court ruling for .75 a pk cigarette tax(oh, uh he calls it a fee, sorry)) and stadium funding tax.
Also, being a fair fellow, I'm letting you all know that the MN democratic party's convention is next weekend...

I've just about had it up to 'here' with our Minnesota stadium menage a trois debacle!! At, according to WCCO.com reports, it'll only run one and-a-half billion bucks to you and me.
that's 1,500,000,000.00 dollars! $1,500,000,000.00!
Why would I call it a debacle? I should call it "pulling the wool over tax payers eyes by the billionaires boys club" Billionaires can afford a team, why can't they build their own stadium? I'll tell you. Down to nearly the last owner, building their own stadium is a losing investment for them. They know this. That's why they prefer the government, which is you and I the tax payers get the privilege to pay for the building. Oh they'll make claims that there'll be way more jobs and great for the community. Well sure if you are in construction or own a bar, restaurant, hotel, motel, you get the idea. Oh and that they might leave MN if they don't get it. They've been saying...Threatening that for 10 years now. (WCCO reality check, Star/Trib)

During the last several weeks on the evening news on any channel you have heard about stadium building. First the Twins, I'll give them a nod for being up front about it. They came to the legislature and said, "we want a new stadium and its only going to cost you 530 million dollars. It'll seat 45,000 not the 65,000 the dome holds, you see, we can't make enough money with 65,000 seats." (run that by again.. You'll make more with 20,000 LESS seats?) Again the owners like to infer that they'll leave with their teams. I'm at a point to call their bluff. Our congress members have even voted for the first time to NOT put it up as an up or down referendum vote for us the taxed, to be taxed more. But as one congressman put it, they're the Minnesota Twins, not the Hennepin county Twins!! I'm agreeing! Let ALL of MN get taxed as Hennepin county has since 1977.

Second the Vikings, they are being a bit more sneaky. The owner is dangling a billion dollar development investment carrot called the Northern Lights. But not a penny of that will be spent until AFTER a stadium has been built for them. They only want 280 million from the lucky county we build it in, and another 115 million from the state. You feel the wool being pulled over your eyes yet?!?!
1. Don't forget that the dome is the only stadium that hosted the super bowl, a world series and the final four. With 65,000 seats it had to creatively rearrange bunches of the seats for more to QUALIFY to be in the running.
2. We're still paying the dome tax even though it(the dome)was finished early and under budget. The tax was supposed to be 'retired', but really, how many taxes have truly 'died' once they're on the books?

My favorite is the Gophers. They have about 3 thousand acres(also known as UMore Park, possibly polluted since WWII ammunition was made there. Other than that it's tax exempt)of state land in Dakota county. Which they, and this is arguable, call theirs. Here is the sneaky part, they will 'give'it to the state after we the tax payers give the University just under 10 million dollars a year for the next 25 years. Then the state taxpayers will reown 3000 acres of timber, scrub & swamp land, which has to be kept that way. Again no value return resource for us tax payers. The rest of the stadium money will come from gate fees and taxes and student contributions (curious, isn't a contribution voluntary?). Without the land deal, the student contribution would stay at 50.00 per student per semester. The land deal brings it down to 25.00. The radical runaway regents thought this one up. A clever bunch don't you think!! Anyone feel the wool? And you just thought they all were tired of just playing at a perfectly good dome!!

What isn't the least bit humorous is this 'new' idea our leader wants to hand over the charge of major shipping operations in New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, New Orleans, Miami and Philadelphia to a Dubai government organization. In my humble opinion, there comes a time to get off your knees and stop bowing to the corporate masters. Granted, in all fairness, the Pres was born, bred and raised in that believe world. Maybe he can't think outside that box. And he, if anyone knows how hard it is to quit some addictions. For that I give him kudos and my prayers.
But some have also noted that some of the Sept. 11 hijackers used the United Arab Emirates as an operational and financial base. In addition, some critics contend the UAE was an important transfer point for shipments of smuggled nuclear components sent to Iran, North Korea and Libya by a Pakistani scientist. Happy New Year everyone!! After a night of frivolities one decides to post.I thought since we were enjoying our winter, I would post some pictures a hairy friend of mine sent me of his winter. First he said you have to relax, take 1 day at a time.

If you have resolutions or not he reminded me to do some exercising everyday,or when the mood strikes you.

Everyday you should give at least one person a hug.

And sometimes you just have to accept the unexpected, and go with the flow. (damn penguins won't even let you enjoy a good hangover!!) Or drop your pants and slideeeee on the iceeeee.

Well its been a week since we have been home, but it seems like 5 since I was in Texas! For 40 days & 40 nights, we sought out areas of the ocean to drop in our mullet(not the haircut, but the minnow) baited hooks searching for the best the coastal bend has to offer in the way of edible fish. We caught flounder, spanish mackeral,mangrove snapper, croaker, pigfish, reddrum, stingrays, a shark, a baby king baracuda, gaff catfish, dogfish(which is really ugly),an eel of some kind, spotted trout, sand trout(which are fun to feed to the pelicans) and lots of little perch, which you can use for bait.

As we were leaving Port Aransas it was about 82 and 3 days later when we left San Antonio on our way home it was 94 most of the way through north Texas!! It wasn't till night time in Okla. that it got down in the low 40's. It's nice being home were everything is familiar, but we do enjoy the town of Port A and the weather!!

We posted a few more pictures. The best one being Nancy with her 39in Red Drum she caught on the bay boat. She also won the biggest fish contest that day and twice more during our trip. The prize is always 2 passes for the boat and a share of the pot.

We have one of our flounder in case not everyone knows what they look like. Notice the teeth. Everything in the ocean big or small, has teeth.

Here is one of the stingrays we caught. The poisonous barb is on its tail.

Last but not least of our pictures is one of our new pet poodle. His name is blackjack just like our cat....wait he is our cat. Someones Mother had an idea to have him groomed beyond belief. Yikes! Actually we do like it and are going to keep him that way. BTW He still has his halloween eyes in if you were wondering.

The one thing that I am still getting used to is going from the mid 80's to the mid 30's and snow in just over a week. The cake with no frosting is there is another 5 months of this cold!!Dratssssss GRRRRRRR

As our time on the coastal bend shortens too quickly by the day, at least we'll get to have another fresh fish dinner tonight. Tonight it'll be some yummy gaff catfish caught by Nancy the hook! Fish fear her! And some kick ass jumbo shrimp just caught this morning by our favorite shrimpin' boat, the Polly-Anna. She lives just a few hundred yards from our temporary TX home when not shrimping. If you're around the channel, you can see her head out to sea in the early evening. well it's getting to be that time, so take care my slippery little monkeys. love ya'll, and see you soon.

I generally haven’t posted religious posts but there’s been soon scuttlebutt as to religion being injected into our current way of life by those in power. Mainly from, in my humble guesstamation, the current resident of the white house, congress, and a huge majority of the populous wanting it, or thinking they do. Some say it’s about time to ‘get our nation back on track.’
And others judge you or me saying it’s the wrong sort of christian influence because it’s not their personal flavor. Yet still others say there shouldn’t be any God influence in our government because our founding fathers placed strict limitations into several of the most important documents to found and run this great nation we call America.
The one law or rule that has been beaten up and down over and over by many groups and political parties for their benefit is the the ‘Separation of church and state’. Which as I’m recalling it as, ‘the government shall make or impose no religion upon the people but shall support all legal and recognized religions’. Now many have said that the founding fathers were God fearing men... I would agree, but as the below quotes from some of the founding fathers might suggest they or many of them may have been deists not theists! I just found it interesting. ----------

A just government, instituted to secure and perpetuate liberty, does not need the clergy.

Madison objected to state-supported chaplains in Congress and to the exemption of churches from taxation. He wrote:
Religion and government will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together.

These founding fathers were a reflection of the American population. Having escaped from the state-established religions of Europe, only 7% of the people in the 13 colonies belonged to a church when the Declaration of Independence was signed.
Among those who confuse Christianity with the founding of America, the rise of conservative Baptists is one of the more interesting developments. The Baptists believed God's authority came from the people, not the priesthood, and they had been persecuted for this belief. It was they—the Baptists—who were instrumental in securing the separation of church and state. They knew you can not have a "one-way wall" that lets religion into government but that does not let it out. The price of Liberty is constant vigilance. Religious fundamentalism and zealous patriotism have always been the forces which require the greatest attention.
And a final thought from me is remembering that I was raised baptist, but I think I have become more 'en-lighted' from my childhood.

I thought i would post since I haven't since the lime tree and I have been getting prodded by some of you out there . So during our lunch of you guessed it, more fish!!!I thought I'd leave you with some words and photos. Also some of you have been wondering when we are coming home...WE"RE NOT GOING TO!!!! Okay just kidding we really don't have a definate date yet as we do have the first week of Nov. for free.
First pic. is of Clines Landing our temporary Texas treasure home. It is a gated community, not just anybody can come in!!! Our condo is on the 3rd floor on the outher side of the building which has a way better view of the water.

After a hard day of fishing on the bay boat Nancy caught these beauties!!! 3 mackeral, 1 croaker(and they really do croak like a frog)and 1 mangrove snapper,cousin of the red snapper. We ate the Mackeral all up as they do not freeze well.

Yes folks it is what it is, WE CAUGHT A SHARK, a smaller relative of JAWS. Could of ate him but we threw him back because we felt kind. Could of sold him to the Mexicans...

Here is a picture of a shrimp boat called the Polly Anna. It lives right near us. We can see it in the marina from our window. It goes out every evening and you can go down in the morning & buy as much of the freshest shrimp you will ever have right from the boat.

Now we are getting into some of the stuff that goes in & out of the ocean past our windows. Here is just 1 of many ships that we have seen going by. You know what's weird? If you're not looking they will slip right by you, they barely make a noise.

I'm sittiing without my glasses looking out the window, and say Nanc is that a new antenna on the building out there? And she says OH MY GOSH It was part of a oil derrick going by. Going backout to sea, with the help of 4 to 6 tugs. You can't phathom how big this thing was.

And just when we thought we'd seen it all stranger things float on out the channel. This one I do believe is an alien detector. Paid for by our homeland scrutiny department. It may look like a weather derrick but trust me, this reeks of government coverup...worse than a dead mackeral!!!!

As you can see we are still having fun, and we are heading out to fish the jetties today.

Tails from the coastal bend..
When, if at all does it sink in that to eat fish, you buy fish to catch said eating ones? HAHAAAA Damn its been hot down here. But I have to keep reminding myself, "Self, you're in what's called south Texas, it's going to be hot damn HOT. You could put a roast & some taters in your pants and have crotch pot cooking!!" OK, no fish yesterday, at least to speak of, so me & my girl decide to go out for fish. We went to a place we had been to last year and enjoyed, but this year was not the same. We ordered the fresh catch of the day. The dinner we ordered was not cook all the way though so we sent it back for a redo. Well after checking before biting we discovered this one also was raw inside so we sent it back and said no thanks to a 3rd try. We asked what kind of fish it was and were told Alaskan Whitefish Somehow I don't think that should be considered the fresh catch of the day here on the coastal bend of Texas!! The only thing that saved me from getting sick was the 6 pack of Long Star beer, MMMMM good. On the way back to our abode we passed under some intertesting trees with green things hanging from them. Nancy knew right off they were limes and Oranges. The oranges were green yet but we picked one and several limes to check out. And wouldn't you know it but I left all my Tequila at home! Oh well I'm sure I'l survive to 'tequila' another day! We went to try our luck today at fishing ---caught a skipjack but it broke our line just as we were getting it in.It's really only good for cut bait so we didn't feel to bad. A older couple next to us caught 2 beautiful red snappers and several red drums. I swear but some people have all the luck!!

Before I don't have enough time due to prepping for our trip, and not knowing how much time I'll have when we get to Texas, WOOHOO, I thought I'd leave a post...

Hi to all that may read this... Don't hate the poster. Cheer the deafening silent protest. I hope this doesn't get me TOSed. I think if the soldiers can 'form' their own sort of protest, I can post it! Hope the admiral wasn't looking! I must and do support our armed forces as I derive my freedom from their sacrifices. I can also have an opinion. I also prey that God watches over them all. I heard today that the death toll has reached over 1900 young and not so. With no end in sight! At no other time have so many troops been overseas since Viet Nam. It's also been a long time since more than 50% of our national guardsmen have been activated, during WWII! Should I be concerned for those between the ages of 19-26 that I know? Or don't? what's the only way to keep upwards of 100,000 soldiers there that long? When they have already been making plans for the years '07-'08, and working on '09 to stay in Iraq? A thing called the draft. Damn right I should! I just read that the white house, Rumsy and the pentagonions are throwing around a little thing called the draft. That's why I worry. I've been through the draft lottery, not fun. Ask that guy many of us call Mark. Would the powers to do it DO IT !? That's the billion dollar a day question. I only wish I had an answer...
OK, now that I got that off my chest, just think happy thoughts! That's an order!
OH, the weather guy 'down' there says its going to just be peachy! Maybe I'll get sunburned. Oh, can we afford to do this this year? That would be going to TX. Well we decided that with the freebies we're getting because of what happened last year, we can't afford not to go. It may be our last chance too. Watch out fishies! Love you all... As I'm sitting here digesting my b-day dinner of sushi, I'm thinking back that just 48 hours ago me and my entourage were at the... stand back a bit... THE ROLLING STONES concert! Yes it was fantabulis, spectacular, and a blast! I saw them last around 1990-1992. It's been said for the last 20 years that each concert is their last. i think that as long as they're alive or their clones are still being made they're just keep rocking. it was loud but the scuttle but was that it wasn't just loud, but had added what I call thunder-boomers, or the advancement in broadcast technology. It was something to remember, and I will since they cut liquor sales off at fricking 9 PM! Damn you have to come with a buzz on if you want one! But thanks all, you too Mick, it was a blast....

PS...Do blogs have ps's? OK, how about an 'AT'... that would be an 'After Thought'. AT.. one of the Stones songs, which I've probably heard a hundred times since they released it. but in it's simplistic words I finally heard something profound or is it just a bit of wisdom if you will. As some readers have left comments to my Aug post as to how can i win and lose at the same time... OK, i could go on and on but i shall not. I won in that i came out of it with my life and lost a lot of other things. Can these two be in an equal balance? The answer to that is something I'm sure i'll take to my grave to be answered in whatever the hereafter has to say to that. i won by meeting all kinds of people i may have not, me hopefully being the better for it.! i hope. the things i've lost are my ability to walk and do those things most of you reading won't be able to understand how one stays sane not doing what i used to take for granted. i do hope I'm still sane... Don't get me wrong, I've wondered and yes wished what if... but that gets you nowhere fast. i also met my Nancy! truly my earth angel. Would i have been happy to have my mobility back and never to have known her? In my opinion I never thought that Christopher Reeves had fully grasped his disability. hoping that he'd be saved by some miracle in stem cell research. [hey, maybe some day, but i don't think it'll be soon. He didn't HAVE to die either from what i understand. At least not from an infection from a bed sore. But that'd be another post now wouldn't it?

'Sittin' on the dock by the bay, watchin' the tide roll away.. ok being that it's still Aug 19 I've downed a few SCHLITZ malt liquors, whilist eyeing a new bottle of the Captian Morgan's tattoo dark spiced rum. but i digress. I've been doing this since my 'bug' wrestled with some railroad tracks in '73. i won and lost. is it an anniversay, i don't know. Just something i do. i've always had a soft spot for the 'bull'. as my older bro puts it "Man, I don't remember it being sooo smooth"!
